Mercury Events design new range of ILCU Lecterns
Mercury Events have been selected to design & build 9 new long term use, speakers lecterns for the Irish League of Credit Unions.
Replacing the existing range which were in use for nearly 20 years, the design brief required a similar longevity and quality while updating the design to reflect the new ILCU look & feel.
With eight single units and one double lectern required, the ability to store and easily transport each unit was of paramount importance. Combining this with the capacity for each lectern to be easily assembled and disassembled by personell not familiar with the operation made the design all the more intriguing.
The final design is a demountable lectern unit finished in a spray finish timber framing (veneered MDF) in a light oak effect. The two side "wings" are secured with heavy eye & pin hinges and the top shelf is also hinged. A replacable sliding graphic allows the instillation of different looks to suit the specific event. A plywood carry case / storage box ensures safe transport and subsequent storage.
An urgent turn around time saw the job spec designed, built & finished in less than 7 days!
